Himalayan salt is rock from a mine in the Punjab Region of Pakistan. The salt sometimes occurs in a red or pink colour, with some crystals having an off-white to transparent colour. It is commonly used in cooking for that delicious salty flavour, in place of other table salt, in brine and for bath products such as bath salts. Since pink himalayan salt contains sodium and other electrolytes, it has a direct effect on the pH of your blood and helps to regulate water content throughout your body.
